When people think about most Thai restaurants they think the food is always the same and no one thinks of having a date in them. Here, Daughter Thai wanted to create the kind of restaurant where people can enjoy great food in a good ambiance and have a fun place to hang out.
Our Story
Executive Chef / COO – Ounjit Hardacre prior to coming to the United States to get her MBA, learned the lessons of hard work as an entrepreneur as she grew up in Thailand working in her family business. Ounjit got her first taste of the restaurant industry after completing her undergraduate degree in applied statistics, she owned and operated a small noodle café in Bangkok.
Ounjit furthered her restaurant experience and passion for cooking by working in some of the top Thai restaurants in San Francisco while she got her MBA. It was this experience that not only helped form Ounjit's culinary vision but gave her the front and back-of-the-house experience of running top restaurants.
